Two Things we Owe Every Person

We owe every person two things: an INVITATION... and a WARNING!

Consider the sobering warning God gives to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 3:15–21. Simply put, God tells Ezekiel that he was responsible to HEAR, RECEIVE, and SPEAK the words of God. And God let’s Ezekiel know in no uncertain terms, that he would be held accountable for FULFILLING the mission of sharing His word and the warning of impending judgment with those in his sphere of influence. He would not be held accountable for the RESPONSE of the people. But he was RESPONSIBLE to make sure they had heard the clear words of warning from the Lord.

At the Judgment Seat of Christ, we, too, will be held accountable for the mission God has entrusted to us (Rom. 14:12; 2 Cor. 5:10). God will not hold us accountable for how people responded to our message, but we will give an account for whether or not we HEARD the word of Christ, RECEIVED the word of Christ, and SHARED the word of Christ with the warning of impending judgment with those in our sphere of influence (Col. 3:16; 1 Tim. 4:16).

May God grant us the boldness to OPEN our MOUTHS... as He OPENS the DOORS! (Eph. 6:19–20)
